Youth Ministry

If you’ve read the Family Ministry page, you have a good idea about what the Burleson church is all about with regard to families. If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to read it first and come back to this page afterward.

Our dedication to the spiritual growth and development of our precious children is evident to all who know us. We don’t have a formal “youth minister.” As a small congregation (about 80 folks), we cannot afford a full-time youth minister. But the truth is, even if we could, we wouldn’t need one. Our families are dedicated to working together for the good of our youth.

We have a great group of young families, led by our youth deacon Ryan Spann and his sweet wife Amber. Ryan and Amber teach Bible classes, take our kids to all the area youth functions, lead the annual trip to CYC in Pigeon Forge, and plan other events for our kids.

Also, our youth ministry is not only teen-oriented or teen-driven. We understand that developing a strong teen group requires laying a foundation among our younger kids. Thus, we have activities and events for our younger kids as well. Amber and some of our young ladies have movie nights at the fellowship building or in their homes. We have cookouts, fishing, feed horses, and other fun and faith-building activities. We have an annual Vacation Bible School that literally fills our building for four nights starting the second Sunday in July. We have a fall festival where families with children can come and play games, bob for apples, play corn hole or pitch horseshoes.
