Introduction: In Paul’s final charges to the Philippian brethren, he exhorted them to “think on” noble things. The first in that list of nobility is things that are true. God uses trials to inspect us. Job 23:10 Deuteronomy 8:1-10 God led you in the wilderness… by a pillar of cloud and fire to humble you (cf Daniel 4:28-37) to test you (cf 2 Cor 2:9) to know your heart (cf Prov 17:3) God allowed you to be hungry so he could feed and teach you.
